Our recent trip to the UK was nothing short of spectacular, filled with iconic sights, delicious food, and a cozy place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we were excited to explore everything again that London had to offer.
London is our second home. After Holland, we traveled to England several times a year by plane and car. This time, we went to celebrate our wedding. For the first time, we took the bus Hop-on- hop-off and the Eurostar train.
It was a great experience.
We kicked off our adventure with a visit to the legendary Big Ben. Standing in front of this magnificent clock tower was awe-inspiring. Its towering presence and intricate details left us speechless. We took countless photos, capturing the moment to share with family and friends back home. The surrounding area, with the stunning Houses of Parliament and the River Thames, provided the perfect backdrop for our memories.
Next, we made our way to the London Eye.
The experience of slowly ascending into the sky, taking in panoramic views of the city was truly unforgettable. From up high, we could see iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral. The ride was smooth, and the gentle sway of the capsule added to the thrill. It was the perfect way to appreciate the vastness and beauty of London from a unique perspective.
Harrods
We also visited Harrods. Our visit to Harrods was truly an unforgettable experience. As we approached the iconic building, we were immediately struck by its grandeur and elegance. The exterior, adorned with beautiful lights and intricate architectural details, set the stage for what was to come inside. Upon entering, we were greeted by the luxurious atmosphere that Harrods is famous for. The opulent decor, with its marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and exquisite displays, made us feel like we had stepped into a different world.
We wandered through the various departments, each showcasing a unique selection of high-end goods, from designer fashion to gourmet food.One of the highlights of our visit was the Food Halls. The incredible array of culinary delights was simply overwhelming. We sampled delicious pastries, artisanal cheeses, and gourmet chocolates, each bite more delightful than the last. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with the aromas of fresh food, made it a feast for the senses.
We also took some time to explore the luxury fashion boutiques. It was fascinating to see the latest collections from renowned designers and to admire the craftsmanship of the items on display. Even if we didn’t make any purchases, it was a joy to simply browse and soak in the high-fashion environment.As we made our way through the store, we couldn’t help but appreciate the attentive service from the staff, who were always ready to assist and provide recommendations. Their knowledge about the products added to the overall experience. Before leaving, we made sure to stop by one of the cafes for a refreshing drink. Sitting in such a stylish setting, we reflected on our day and felt grateful for the opportunity to experience such a legendary department store. Overall, our visit to Harrods was a perfect blend of luxury, culinary delights, and a touch of British culture. It was an experience we will cherish and remember for years to come.

Nando´s
We ate at Nando’s. Nando’s is a popular dining destination known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious flame-grilled chicken. The standout feature of their menu is the peri-peri chicken, marinated to perfection and cooked over an open flame, giving it a smoky flavor that’s hard to resist. The heat levels can be customized, catering to both spice lovers and those who prefer milder options. In addition to the chicken, Nando’s offers a variety of sides, including their famous garlic bread and spicy rice, which complement the meal well. The casual dining experience and friendly staff add to the overall enjoyment. However, some might find the prices a bit on the higher side for a casual eatery.Overall, Nando’s delivers a satisfying meal that leaves you craving more, making it a great choice for a fun night out or a quick bite.
Paolina Thai Cuisine
On the last day we had dinner at Paolina thai cuisine. It was so delicious.
King´s Cross Hotel
After a day filled with sightseeing, we returned to our accommodation from Booking.com at the King’s Cross Hotel. The hotel was conveniently . located, making it easy to access various attractions and transport links. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, offering a relaxing retreat after our busy days of exploration. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was enjoyable. We had booked an extra large room and we were satisfied. There were many food stalls in the area, such as KFC and McDonald’s.
Overall, our trip to the UK was a perfect mix of sightseeing, relaxation, and culinary delights. The combination of iconic landmarks, a comfortable hotel stay, and flavorful meals made for an unforgettable experience. We left with our hearts full and memories that we will cherish for years to come. We can’t wait to return and explore even more of what this vibrant country has to offer!
